Welcome Back! Message from Mr Moses
Dear Reigate Priory Families
I hope this finds you all refreshed and well having enjoyed a fantastic summer holiday!
I am really looking forward to seeing and welcoming everyone back when we start our shiny new school year next Tuesday morning (see below for times). It will not only be brilliant to see all those returning after the summer break but also wonderful to be welcoming all our new starters, both children and staff alike.
With the impressive foundation of our collective successes from last year, I am very excited in the prospect of what we can achieve together in the year ahead and I, and my team are raring for the get go – I am sure you are too!
Our Site Manager, Steve, has been working diligently over the holidays undertaking various spit and polish projects and the teaching team are in and around school this week making sure all our learning spaces are waking from their summer dormant state and are ready for the off next week.
Like us, I am sure you are all getting ready for the new school year too and I am very appreciative of everyone’s effort to make sure we are ‘Smart from the Start’ and ‘Ready for Learning’, demonstrating the pride for our school and the Priory standards we set ourselves. Please take a look at our uniform guidance to help ensure we are all on the same page with this.
The following are the key dates and times for the first week below:
- Monday, 2nd September
- INSET Day – school closed to all children
- Tuesday, 3rd September
- First Day of Autumn Term
- School opens at 8:40am for Y4, Y5 & Y6 (normal drop off at Green Gates with all children into main playground)
- Y3 start school at 9:30am (children and parents/carers invited into the main playground for welcome by Mr Moses)
- Wednesday, 4th September

- Thursday, 5th September
- Y6 Bonding Day
- Y4 & Y5 Parent Information Meeting at 3:45pm
- Friday, 6th September

Should you wish to contact school between now and the start of term, then please can I politely request you do so via email using info@reigate-priory.surrey.sch.uk . This will be checked periodically over the next few days with the phone contact closed until Monday 2nd September. Please be advised that all members of staff will be engaging with training on this day and phone messages will be checked at appropriate points during the day. Your understanding is appreciated.
I do hope you enjoy the remaining days of the holiday and the sunny and fine weather that seems to have come with it.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the gate and another Proud to be Priory year!
Regards
Mr Moses
