The School Day

Registers of attendance are completed at the beginning of the morning and afternoon sessions of school.

In the morning school starts at 8:40am and afternoon school starts 1:25pm. If a child is not on school premises at this time they are marked absent.  Late arrivals must report to the School Reception and the registers will be amended to show a 'late mark'.  If this happens regularly the Education Welfare Officer (EWO) will be informed and will contact/visit parents.

School finishes at 3:30pm except:

• Last day of each term when school finishes at 1.00pm
• Friday of Arts Week (First week of December) when school finishes at 2.00pm

The School Office must be informed about absence due to illness/dental appointments/family problems etc. Either a phone call (which will be documented and given to the class teacher) an email to info@reigate-priory.surrey.sch.uk or a note of explanation (which will also be kept to ensure there are no unexplained or 'unauthorised' absences) is required.

7.30am - 8.30am	Early Bird Club (booking required)
8:30am - 8:40am	Drop off and Morning Play
8.40am - 8.50am	Morning Registration
8:50am - 9:00am	Early Learning
9:00am - 10:00am	Learning Block 1
10:00am - 11:00am	Learning Block 2
11:00am - 11.20am	Break Time
11.20am - 12.20pm	Learning Block 3
12.20pm - 1.20pm	Lunch
1.20pm - 1.30pm	Afternoon Registration
1.30pm - 2.30pm	Learning Block 4
2.30pm - 3.30pm	Learning Block 5
3.30pm - 6.00pm	T-Club-6 (external provider - booking required)

 

As a total over a typical school week, Reigate Priory children are in school for 34hrs 10mins which is in excess of the Government minimum of 32hrs and 30mins.
